Placeholders
These are provided to other plugins through PlaceholderAPI, so you can use them in scoreboards, tab lists, holograms and chat formatters.
Requires PlaceholderAPI installed. Without it these expand to nothing — they do not error, which makes a missing dependency look like a broken placeholder.
| Placeholder | Returns |
|---|---|
%projectone_enabled% | true / false for the current world |
%projectone_count% | The player's stored count |
%projectone_rank% | The player's position, or - if unranked |
%projectone_total% | Server-wide total |
Example
scoreboard:
- 'Count: %projectone_count%'
- 'Rank: #%projectone_rank%'
Not the same as message placeholders
The <player>-style tags in messages.yml are
filled in by this plugin for its own output. The %projectone_*% placeholders
above are what other plugins read from this one. Two different systems that
people constantly conflate — worth one sentence in your own docs too.
Performance
%projectone_total% aggregates across all players. Refreshing it every tick in
a scoreboard will cost you; cache it or refresh on a timer. Say so wherever a
placeholder is more expensive than a field lookup.
