A selection of things I have built. Each entry says what the problem was, what I did about it, and what it is built with β that is usually more useful to a reader than a screenshot.
1robie.github.ioβ
This site. A multi-instance Docusaurus site that hosts a portfolio, long-form guides and an API reference side by side, with local (Algolia-free) search and automated deploys to GitHub Pages.

MachineEngineβ
Tech-mod machines on a vanilla server, with no client mod. A framework for Paper and Folia: machines that store, process and move energy, fluids and items, cables, multiblocks, upgrades and textured menus β on which addons and YAML packs build their content. Blocks and items are CraftEngine content sent in a resource pack; menus are zMenu inventories.
The interesting parts:
-
Transactional transfers. Every move of a resource runs in a nested transaction with snapshot and rollback, so nothing is lost or duplicated when one side refuses half-way.
-
Folia from day one. Transfers between machines in different regions are handed over asynchronously with escrow, instead of locking two threads.
-
One jar for Minecraft 1.20.6 to 26.3. Everything compiles against the newest Paper API, and a build check reads the bytecode to fail on any call that does not exist in 1.20.6; version-specific code lives in per-version modules loaded at startup.
-
Uninstalling never destroys data. Machines of a removed addon are kept as placeholders with their data, and come back with it.
-
Idle costs nothing. Machines sleep and are woken by what concerns them (an input arriving, an output freeing up), instead of ticking.

Stack: Java 21/25, Paper & Folia API, CraftEngine, zMenu, Gradle (paperweight userdev, convention plugins), JUnit headless test harness, GitHub Actions (CI, releases to GitHub, Hangar and a self-hosted Maven repository)

Mekanizedβ
Mekanism's machines on Paper, built on MachineEngine's public API only. Generators, ore processing, chemistry, logistics, multiblocks (reactors, turbine, induction matrixβ¦), the MekaSuit and its modules, radiation and teleporters β with Mekanism's textures, recipes and names (MIT), and menus textured like Mekanism's windows using resource-pack glyphs in zMenu titles.
The interesting part: its content is data, not code. Blocks and items are
CraftEngine templates and config factories (one row per tier), so a server owner
tunes any machine, cable or item in YAML and /ce reload applies it to machines
already placed. A snapshot test guards what CraftEngine makes of the content
files.
