Messages & translations

MachineEngine has no messages.yml. Player-facing text — chat messages, item lore, the settings menu — is a CraftEngine translation, shown on each player's client in their own Minecraft language.

The text lives in:

plugins/CraftEngine/resources/machineengine/configuration/lang.yml
lang:
en_us:
machineengine.machine.chunk_limit:
'<red>This chunk already holds %s machines (limit %s).'
machineengine.lore.energy: '<gray>Energy: %s / %s %s'
fr_fr:
machineengine.machine.chunk_limit:
'<red>Ce chunk contient déjà %s machines (limite %s).'
  • Colors: MiniMessage tags.
  • Arguments: %s, in order; %1$s, %2$s to reorder them.
  • Languages: English and French ship by default. Add a section per Minecraft language code (de_de, es_es …).
  • Updates never overwrite this file. Delete it and restart to get the new keys and languages back (your edits are lost; copy them first).

After editing, run /ce reload all so CraftEngine rebuilds the resource pack.

Players without the resource pack see the English text built into MachineEngine.

Machine menu titles and button names are in the zMenu files in plugins/MachineEngine/menus/ — see Machine menus. Addons ship their own translations (Mekanized's are in plugins/CraftEngine/resources/mekanized/).
