Commands

Positions

Commands that act on a block take an optional position, [<x y z>] [world]:

  • In game, without a position, they use the block you look at.
  • Coordinates accept ~ (relative to you).
  • The world is a name (world) or a key (minecraft:overworld), and defaults to yours. From the console, give both.

/machineengine

All sub-commands need machineengine.admin (operators by default).

Information

CommandDoes
/machineengine statusEnabled and disabled addons, loaded machines (active, sleeping, placeholders), startup problems.
/machineengine reportThe startup problems, each with its file and place in the YAML when it comes from a definitions file.
/machineengine inspect [<x y z>] [world]Everything about one machine: type, state, storages, process, upgrades. Alias: machine.
/machineengine network [<x y z>] [world]The cable network at a position: its members and rate.
/machineengine placeholders [<x y z>] [world]The menu placeholder values of a machine, to check a menu.
/machineengine registry <name>The entries of a registry (machine types, resource types, recipes…), with old keys still accepted. A name without namespace means machineengine:.
/machineengine debugTurns the in-world debug view on or off for you (below).

Changing machines

CommandDoes
/machineengine fill <storage> <resource> <amount> [<x y z>] [world]Puts a resource into a storage: energy, a fluid, a chemical, or an item (minecraft:iron_ingot, a CraftEngine item id). Only what the storage accepts goes in.
/machineengine drain <storage> [<x y z>] [world]Empties a storage.
/machineengine wake [<x y z>] [world]Wakes a sleeping machine.

A wrong storage name lists the machine's storages.

Placeholders (machines of missing addons)

CommandDoes
/machineengine placeholders listThe loaded machines that keep the data of a missing addon or resource.
/machineengine placeholders purge [<x y z>] [world]Deletes that data for good. Run it twice within 10 seconds to confirm.

Reloading

CommandReloads
/machineengine reload configconfig.yml (except the settings marked restart) and the menu files.
/machineengine reload recipesRecipes from the definitions files. Machines and resources need a restart.
/machineengine reload tagsItem tags and resource tags.

/ce reload (CraftEngine) also reaches loaded machines: they read their block's numbers again.

Players

CommandDoes
/machineengine player <player>Every value addons keep for that player, and their settings.
/machineengine player <player> get <key>One value.
/machineengine player <player> set <key> <value>Changes a value.
/machineengine player <player> reset <key>Puts a value back to its default.

Offline players work with players.storage: machineengine:files only.

The debug view

/machineengine debug shows, for you only:

  • Machine dots above each machine, by state: green active, yellow scheduled, aqua waiting for input, orange blocked, blue sleeping, gray disabled, magenta placeholder, red error.
  • Port dots: blue input, orange output, purple both.
  • Cables: dots in each network's color, with sparks while it moves resources.
  • Action bar: details of the machine you look at.

/machinesettings

Settings players change themselves (addons declare them; e.g. Mekanized's radiation display). Alias: /msettings. Permission: machineengine.settings, everyone by default.

CommandDoes
/machinesettingsOpens the player_settings menu (with zMenu), or lists your settings.
/machinesettings <setting>Shows one setting.
/machinesettings <setting> <value>Changes it. On/off settings take on, off, yes, no, true, false.
/machinesettings <setting> resetPuts it back to the default.

A setting is named by its key (mekanized:radiation_hud), or by its id alone (radiation_hud) when no other addon uses that id.
